1. Definitions & Parties
In these Terms & Conditions:
“PATINE”, “we”, “us”, “our” refers to the business operating as PATINE, registered in the Netherlands.
“Customer”, “you”, “your” refers to the person or entity ordering goods from PATINE.
“Goods” refers to the products offered by PATINE (antiques, décor, furniture, etc.).
“Order” is your purchase request for Goods via our website or other channels.
2. Applicability & Acceptation
These Terms & Conditions apply to all offers, Orders, and agreements between PATINE and a Customer. By placing an Order, you accept these Terms & Conditions in full.
We reserve the right to amend these Terms & Conditions; the version in force at the time of your Order applies.
3. Offers, Orders & Agreement Formation
All offers are non-binding unless explicitly stated otherwise.
An agreement is formed once we accept your Order (e.g. by confirming it by email or processing payment).
If a product is unavailable after Order, we may cancel or substitute it, and refund amounts paid for that product.
4. Prices & Payment
All prices are given in euros (EUR) and do not include shipping costs, unless otherwise indicated.
For Orders outside the Netherlands, additional charges (e.g. customs duties, import taxes) may apply, and are the responsibility of the Customer.
Payment is required in advance via the methods offered on our website (credit card, bank transfer, etc.).
PATINE may refuse Orders if payment cannot be verified or for other justified reasons.
5. Shipping & Delivery
Within the Netherlands: shipping costs are calculated based on size, weight, destination, and shown at checkout.
For international Orders: shipping costs must be requested or calculated after you contact us with the items you wish to order.
We process Orders Monday through Friday, excluding national holidays.
In general, items ship within 5–7 business days after payment, unless otherwise noted.
Delivery is only made on business days (no weekends or national holidays).
Every shipment includes a tracking number.
We are not liable for delays, loss, or damage caused by third-party carriers once the Goods are in transit.
6. Risk & Ownership
The risk of damage or loss transfers to you upon delivery of the Goods.
Ownership of the Goods remains with PATINE until full payment has been received.
7. Returns & Refunds
7.1 Right of Withdrawal (for consumers)
Consumers have a 14-day period to cancel the Order, starting from the day after they (or a third party designated by them, other than the carrier) receive the Goods.
To exercise this right, you must inform us (e.g., via email) within the 14-day period.
Goods must be returned without undue delay, and no later than 14 days after cancellation notification.
The Goods should be returned in original condition, properly packaged, and with full insurance.
Return shipping costs are borne by you.
You are liable only for diminution in value resulting from handling beyond what is necessary to inspect the Goods.
7.2 No Return for Custom or Made-to-Order Goods
Goods that are custom-made, made-to-order, or tailored to your specifications are not eligible for return or withdrawal.
7.3 Refund Procedure
After we receive and inspect the returned Goods, we inform you whether the refund is approved.
If approved, refund is made to the original payment method within 10 business days.
Refund processing time may vary depending on your bank or payment provider.

8. Warranty & Complaints
Goods are sold with the legal rights to conformity and warranty under Dutch law.
Visible defects must be reported by you within 2 business days after receipt. Hidden defects must be reported within a reasonable period after discovery.
In case of a valid defect, we may choose to repair, replace, or refund.
Complaints must be made in writing and handled promptly; if no resolution is found, a dispute may be submitted to a relevant Dutch dispute resolution body or court.
9. Limitation of Liability
Our liability is restricted to the lesser of (a) the invoice amount for the relevant Goods; or (b) the legal limits under Dutch consumer law.
We are not liable for indirect damages, loss of profit, business interruption, or data loss.
We are also not responsible for errors or malicious activity occurring via the website or third-party links.
10. Intellectual Property
All content on our website — text, images, logos — is protected by copyright. You may not reproduce or use any portion without prior written consent from PATINE.
11. Force Majeure
We are not liable for failure to fulfill obligations caused by circumstances beyond our control (e.g. natural disasters, strikes, transport disruptions, customs delays).
12. Governing Law & Disputes
These Terms & Conditions are governed by Dutch law.
